In 2002 at the first art fair Shannon participated in, a creative director for Saks Fifth Avenue bought several of her stiletto paintings for their Las Vegas store. They still hang in Women’s Contemporary today. That sale gave her the confidence to continue to follow her dream.
Shannon’s work has been exhibited at Mars Gallery, Urbanest, Uncommon Ground, Brimfield, HiFi Fitness in Chicago, Seagrass in Winnetka,Il, and at Simpatico in Chagrin Falls, OH. In 2011 Shannon was the first featured local artist at the Lincoln Park Pottery Barn in Chicago.
Shannon’s work has been a reflection of the different chapters of her life. Now she is a wife and mother. It’s brought more meaning, joy, and dimension to her life than she could have ever imagined. Like her life right now, her artwork is…simple, complex, fun, serious, sleep deprived, caffeinated, peaceful, chaotic, and somehow perfectly balanced.
