Nurturing the Creative Potential Within

Art Program for Children, Teenagers, and Adults

  • Program commences October 1, 2015
  • Saturday mornings and afternoons + Sunday afternoons
  • Each session is an hour and a half long
  • Classes are small and individualized, serving only a few students per session
  • Open to all ages
  • Sessions divided into: a.) children, ages 5 to 10; b.) children + teens, ages 11 to 18; c.) young adults + adults, ages 18 and over
  • Program consists of 8 sessions
  • Cost of the program is $480 ($60 per session). This cost includes all materials + use of any facilities, tools
  • Payment can be made in two parts

The program is dedicated towards nurturing the creativity that is a part of every individual.

To be creative is to express ourselves, and feel free in our expression. It involves being imaginative, and original.

It is sometimes incorrectly held that only certain individuals harness the ability to be creative – however, this is not true. Each and every individual is capable of being creative – it is the special power(s) of creativity that births new things, ideas into this world. It is vital to foster the creative potential in ourselves.

Through various art-making exercises, students partaking in this program will learns ways by which to harness their creative & imaginative potential (s), carrying this, then, through other aspects of their studies, and lives.

About the instructor

Sekana Radović  is an artist and instructor living and working in Chicago, Illinois.

She is a member of the Association of Applied Arts Artists of Montenegro, as well as the International Federation of Artists and National Artists Union of Russia. Radović  has exhibited nationally and internationally, throughout Europe and the Middle East. She has participated in numerous individual and group exhibitions, including a retrospective of Radović ‘s artworks at the Center for Modern Art in Podgorica, in 2000. She has been featured in publications such as the Chicago Tribune and Magazyn Polonia, and on various European radio and television programs.
